Student Showcase

Discover the latest in sustainability thinking, making and doing at RCA

This is where we’ll feature the work of students and alumni of the college who are pushing boundries, imagining and exploring new ways of designing our world for the better.

The idea is to create an online space for sharing ideas and ways of thinking about sustainability – a virtual Work In Progress exhibtion/gallery to inspire and hopefully lead to some off-line meetings and collaboarations in the real world.

Offcut Re-use

RCA fashion students are pushing to maximise the sustainability of their practice. Until we started a fabric bin in the fashion studio last month, fabric offcuts from students projects were being discarded in general waste bins.
The next step is to collaborate with students from across the RCA in experimenting with processes of converting said fabric offcuts into useful materials/products that can be used by all who participate in the project.
The initial meeting for this project will take place at 1pm in the ArtCafe Friday 3rd November, we look forward to welcoming any interested parties from any RCA discipline.
